A Very Vancouver Christmas Benefit Concert: Dec 18, 2008

In celebration of the release of A Very Vancouver Christmas, an album of original Christmas/Holiday music, in aid of the BC-SPCA, contributing artists will be performing their festive tunes live at several benefit concerts around Vancouver. The album features 13 original holiday songs by local rising stars, as well as some old favorites. All artists and services are donated, and all proceeds from album and ticket sales will be donated to the BC-SPCA charity.

Ladner Carol Ships: Dec 5 - 6, 2008

Jolly decorated fishing and pleasure boats, some with choirs, sail slowly along the Fraser River from Wellington Point to the Ladney Government Wharf. They are greeted there by Ladnerites who have paraded from celebrations in the Village Square to sing carols with the large choir already on the wharf. Those staying at the Duck Inn and other riverfront hotels get front row seats, but anyone can enjoy the festivities in the village.

Barbados Cultural Association of BC Gala Dinner and Ball: Nov 29, 2008

Everyone welcome, enjoy Barbados and the music of the Caribbean at this not to missed event on November 29th. Price includes dinner, dancing and a chance to win a return trip to Barbados!

This will be an evening of Caribbean hospitality, entertainment and dancing at the 14th annual Independence Gala Banquet of the Barbados Cultural Association of BC. They will be celebrating 42 years of Independence for Barbados, that little gem of an island where the world’s best cricketers were once born.

It will be a black tie affair. The Barbados Cultural Association of BC is a non-profit organization.
