Mobilization Against War & Occupation (MAWO) has joined and endorsed the February 4th call to action against war on Iran by U.S. social justice and antiwar organizations. Join MAWO in Vancouver along with cities across the US and around the world to demand:
INTERNATIONAL DAY OF ACTION ~ PICKET RALLY: NO WAR ON IRAN!
Mobilization Against War & Occupation (MAWO) has joined and endorsed the February 4th call to action against war on Iran by U.S. social justice and antiwar organizations. Join MAWO in Vancouver along with cities across the US and around the world to demand:

1. Start with who I think is the greatest. Natalie Portman. I will say that the Black Swan performance was just behinh Heath Ledger portraital of the Joker. Black Swan was one strange film and it takes something special to keep you captivated to the story when it get confusing. This film done that and still shocked you. Great cast and topped with a great display from Natalie.

2. Talia Shire. Was consistent in 2 of the greatest series of movies in history. Godfather and Rocky. Although there not much more to write about these 2 series were in there time the best. She played a shy woman who was not at all confident and anyone watch new this, it was awkward and nervous and everyone felt this through her performance. This alone put her here. Forget about the Godfather no matter how goos she played the despress housewives, who stood up for her wife beating husband, even when it could be sorted no problem, but Rocky puts her here on my list.

3. Jennifer Connelly. Quite possibly a surprise, but i believe a very underrated actor. Requirem for a Dream was, although a very graphic film, with alot of content that would deter a weak viewer from watching. It really captures the realilty of drug addiction and the cast involved could not have done a better job broadcasting eventualities of addiction, a very hard subject to emote in film, and Jennifer does this exceptionally well.

4. Abigail Breslin. Although still very young has protraited very good potential. Her performance in My Sister's Keeper put her up the with the seasoned professionals, and the good humored Zombieland she played the little con artist as if she had done it all her life. This is a remarkable talent for one so young especially in the like of My Sister's Keeper aimed to hit an emotional note. Even some of the more experienced can perfect this art. She also played the ever so naive young girl in Little Miss Sunshine, which in fairness should come natural but was still projected in the film. (Sometimes the most natural thing is the hardest).

5. Dakota Fanning. Having shared the screen with 3 movie legends she has certainly the pedigree to do well. You are all probably thinking why I have disregarded the likes of Meg Ryan, Sandra Bullock and Halle Berry. Dakota and Abigail have shown natural ability, where as the rest have had a really good sucessful career. Dakota should maybe be higher in the list because she has perfected every role she has done. Man on Fire, whilst working with Denzel Washington and the great Christopher Walken, she more than held her own at a young age, now thats is something. If thats not enough, she also has co starred with Robert De Niro,Tom Cruise, Sean Penn and Michelle Pfeifer to name a few. Dakota hasn't stopped there and is in the highly successfully Twilight series, with the likes of Robert Pattinson and Michael Sheen.

I hope i haven't rambled on too much and you enjoyed my post.

YouTube user hatinhand has done an innovative thing with The 2011 Portfolio by mashing up scenes from 2011 movies so that one action will lead into another. This looks especially cool when it’s Caesar the ape from Rise of the Planet of the Apes swinging a hammer that then cuts to an exploding helicopter in another movie. Or when a bowling alley scene transforms into a bunch of liquor bottles bursting, which in turn shows you Cameron Diaz in the infamous car wash scene from Bad Teacher.

This is a long video at nearly eight minutes, but definitely stick with it: The soundtrack dips and blends from the Harry Potter theme to Ingrid Michaelson‘s haunting cover of “Can’t Help Falling in Love with You” that was used in Like Crazy.

T.Paine says:
When the Civil War was being fought there were many people who would not fight and die for black slaves. It wasn't about race because they might have been sympathetic to the suffering of slavery. The issue was about equality where one person's life was just as valuable as another and in their mind there was no reason why they should trade their own lives for the lives of others.

Fast forward to the present and we have a government telling us that we should fight and DIE for the freedom of others which is why we fight foreign wars--freedom and democracy. We may be sympathetic to the plight of others but who said their freedom was more valuable than my or your own lives? For the powers that be to arbitrarily decide whose freedom we should die for is basically saying other human beings are worth more than our own selves and that is not equality.

Yesterday I taught history to my students. They were five boys who somehow always had enermous energy. All of them were “active” boys and didn’t like to listen to me. I thought during fasting they would be a little quiet and calm, but I was wrong. I was a bit dissapointed. Instead of teaching the subject, I started to tell them stories. The story about the museum I knew, especially museums that I visited last 2 years at Jakarta. Magically They were very interested. They sat around me and listened to me carefully. They asked lots of question and didn’t move from the chair at all. Unfortunately none of them have ever visited any museum. I told them to ask to their parents to take them to museum on holiday and they were agree!

As my knowledge and experience about museums are very limited. I would be very happy if you share the museum you’ve ever visited. Inside or outside Indonesia. It is great If you can upload some photos too! Hopefully I can visit other great museums someday..

Thanks for sharing!

There are so many great quotes from movies...be it from comedy, drama and thrillers and or maybe horrors. There is always a single moment that rattles your senses.

I have many...The speech in Any Given Sunday from Al Pacino, Mel Gibson in Braveheart and the extremely awesome but short and effective Russell Crowe in Gladiator....but my winner has to be Coach Carter!!!
A already much used speech in motivation...Marianne Williamson's words. Please read, as it will bring your hear to life........

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.

It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us.

We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous,
talented and fabulous?

Actually, who are you not to be?

You are a child of God.

Your playing small does not serve the world.

There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other

people won't feel insecure around you.

We were born to make manifest the glory of
God that is within us.

It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone.

And as we let our own light shine,
we unconsciously give other people
permission to do the same.

As we are liberated from our own fear,
Our presence automatically liberates others

....is there any for you too?
Well once in London, &nbsp;i got almost kissed by a double decker bus while listening to a song from The Pogues, Old Main drag. how bizarre..!

Have been living in Plastic City for the past 5 years, last saturday morning, i looked out my window, seeing some girls, wearing high-heels and bling-bling dresses, tip-toeing like the spy, not wanting to be seen how their mascara and make up melted from 'lastnite's unplanned party'.&nbsp;<br>and there i caught the sound of Donovan playing the season of the witch from my scottish neighbor next door.

Happy Monday!
mine has been quite good so far, hope yours too!
