"Beauty and the Beast"
26th year of Panto Fun for the whole Family!

For the past 26 years many people have begun their holiday season at the Surrey Arts Centre by attending the Fraser Valley Gilbert and Sullivan Society’s annual musical panto. This year’s production of "Beauty and the Beast" promises to continue the society’s tradition of delivering loads of family friendly fun.

The hilarious panto characters will transport you to the magical enchanted castle, complete with toe-tapping tunes, lively dancing and general musical mayhem. Beautiful sets and awesome costumes will paint a kaleidoscope of colour as the talented cast take you on a memorable and exciting panto journey.

Artistic director Mike Balser, musical director Tim Tucker, choreographer Carol Seitz, and producer Reginald Pillay have put together a very talented group for this production. The cast includes Kaitlyn Yott as Belle, Sean Donnelly as Beast/Prince, Paul Rowell as Antoine, Robert Newcombe as Smelle, Barrie Mills as Claude, Clive Ramroop as Prince Dobbin, Tammy Theis as Pierre, Jeff Christensen as Sneaker, Rosemary Forst as Bossy, Samantha Andrews as Goody, Adam Olgui as Pepe, Adrian Duncan as the Town Crier and Elisabeth Olsson as the Little Girl.

"Beauty and the Beast" will be on stage from November 23 to December 4 at the Surrey Arts Centre Theatre, 88th Ave. and King George Highway. Evening performances, Wednesday to Saturday are at 7:30 pm, with matinees Saturday and Sunday at 2:30 pm.

Sold out shows are a hallmark of the G&S society’s pantos, so it’s best to order your tickets right away! You may purchase tickets in person, by phone at 604-501-5566, or online at https://tickets.surrey.ca. The Surrey Arts Centre box office is open Monday to Sunday from noon to 5 pm and Thursday until 7 pm.
