Carrotmob Comes to Vancouver!

We challenged five Main Street coffee shops to go "green", and in return we would hold an awesome one day event called the CarrotMob - organizing hundreds of people to drop by, enjoy a great coffee, prizes, live music and have their money make an impact!

Salt Spring Coffee won the challenge by committing 110% of their revenues from the CarrotMob to improving their coffee shop's energy efficiency.

The CarrotMob will be on Sunday May 16th. Revenues from the entire day count towards the CarrotMob, but prizes and live music will be happening between 11:00am to 2:00pm.

The CarrotMob will be at Salt Spring Coffee on the corner of 27th Ave and Main St, Vancouver.

The Carrotmob is just a great way for companies to engage with the community they are, and also to generate capital to make changes, and this is something which is always a challenge for small businesses, voluntary co-organizer of the first event Carrotmob Vancouver . Carrotmob because the concept is a form of activism that does not mean that everyone can have their own event in their own neighbourhoods. Therefore, there must be the efficiency of food or energy, can be any type of business and any social change anywhere.

Carrotmob is a way to take advantage of assets that the majority of consumers to benefit from socially responsible companies is also viable options. The companies compete with each other, it can do best, and then a large crowd of consumers to purchase products, to reward whichever business made the strongest commitment to improving the world.
