Volunteer Futures: Annual Training Event for Volunteer Leaders
Volunteer BC will host two substance-packed days of workshops, panel discussions and networking sessions for non-profits, volunteers, activists, board members, and staff who work with volunteers.
Keynote: Volunteering Legacy after the 2010 Olympic Games – Fact or Fiction. A researcher from the University of Canberra (Australia) shares results on the impact the 2010 Olympics and Paralympics Games had on BC’s volunteer sector. Also hear from 13-year-old Alaina Podmorow, founder of Little Women for Little Women in Afghanistan, as she shares her tried and tested strategies for engaging youth in volunteerism and activism.
