AMAZON FALLS tells the story of a faded B-movie actress, Jana, who struggles against the burden of the Hollywood dream machine to make it in a merciless and unforgiving movie industry. Award-winning Vancouver director Katrin Bowen presents her first feature film, AMAZON FALLS, at the Denman Cinema for the week of April 15-22rd, 2011. Director Co-producer Katrin Bowen was a recipient of the Women in the Director’s Chair Feature Film Award and was recently bestowed with the Women in Film & Television 16th Annual Artistic Achievement Award for her stunning vision and compelling direction. AMAZON FALLS just won the Best Debut Feature at the Female Eye Film Festival. It had its festival premiere at the 2010 Toronto International Film Festival with three sold-out screenings and rave reviews.
