Team COPD and the Coast2Coast Challenge

Anyone can join this free event, a virtual walk across Canada to help raise awareness about COPD, including people with COPD, caregivers, family, friends, or anyone else. COPD is a long-term lung disease usually caused by smoking and includes a few lung diseases: the most common are chronic bronchitis and emphysema. The goal of the Coast2Coast Challenge is to virtually cover the distance of the Trans-Canada trail by November 18, World COPD Day. The Challenge runs from November 1-18. Events will be held across the province on and around World COPD Day – check online for a full list of events. Vancouver will host a World COPD Celebration November 18 at the Vancouver Public Library from 10 am - 4 pm.
