Fall Home Renovation Seminar 2009

To help homeowners make informed decisions, the GVHBA Renovation Council – in partnership with BC Hydro, Canada Mortgage & Housing Corporation and Terasen Gas – is presenting its fall home renovation seminar. Homeowners will be guided through the various stages of the renovation process, including design and planning, legal and contracts, selecting a renovator, municipal permits and inspections, and living through a renovation. Presenters include award-winning renovators, a construction lawyer senior municipal building official and interior designer. Seminar registrants are encouraged to arrive at 6 p.m. to view the 39 displays and discuss their renovation plans with the experts. Seminar attendees will also learn how to take advantage of the federal government’s Home Renovation Tax Credit. There is ample onsite parking and lots of door prizes. Although the seminar is free, attendees are asked to contribute a non-perishable food item for the Greater Vancouver Food Bank Society.
